Every segment in this film is entitled by some chemical element, as if the whole piece could fuse together different components that rarely work together. And perhaps their alchemist secret, their true reason for being, is to experiment on combinations that, regardless of how improbable they are, can also generate a big audiovisual potion. This Teoría de cuerdas deals with fusions, experiments, strange combinations and other well mixed ingredients, and gathers filmmakers on the margin of the forms and formalities of collective creations. From found footage to digital remix; from a deconstructed documentary style to powerful abstract images, the film moves forward with a sustained musical rhythm as it intertwines with a sound composition that puts its faith in both aesthetic risk and visual creators. Like a series of temporary worlds, the different phases of this composition are all placed on the same ledge from which they let themselves fall into a series of uncertain endless voids, thus creating their very own particular ways of being.
